A few photographs of an Alouette 3 helicopter set up as a K Car gunship. Note the pilot seat was armoured. The gunner seat had quite a few variationd depending on the Technician/gunners preference. After Flamo Fleming was killed in a contact in Mtoko the gunner was also protected by an armoured seat.
Weight was always a problem with the Alouettes.

I welcome comments from everyone on my book Choppertech.
I am interested especially on hearing from former ZANLA and ZIPRA combatants who also have thier story to tell.
