Dominique Houyet was a photographer during the Rhodesian war who found that his pictures were not commercially viable, due to Rhodesia's status with the world (obviously we could not get our story out) -to me the quality is excellent and gives one a wonderful insight into the war -he has just given me permission to show his pictures in my book which I feel very honoured to do.

  1. Agreed, that man has real talent. I can't wait to see more of his beautiful photos. His choice of Black & White film stock is also commendable. His pictures have almost a surrealist quality about them. You're looking at them and saying to yourself: "I know this is real, but it almost looks like a painting the way he framed it." He's the Ansel Adams of Combat Photography.

I welcome comments from everyone on my book Choppertech.
I am interested especially on hearing from former ZANLA and ZIPRA combatants who also have thier story to tell.
