I an ex member of both 7 and 8 Squadron's of the Rhodesian war spending most of my operational time on Seven Squadron as a K Car gunner. I was credited for shooting down a fixed wing aircraft from a K Car on the 9 August 1979.   1. Ah, the famous "Le Coq Dor" of Fireforce and Stickleader fame! I've seen this photo many times but did not know that it was one of that famous watering hole. Thanks for pointing that out. I now have a visual frame of reference for the stories laid out in said books. Is it the terrace area there on the side?
